How Does INK CROWN Work?

Read this before you register — it's different from a typical writing contest.

You Write on VoomComix. You Register Here.

INK CROWN is not a place to write your book — it is a recognition contest for stories already being written on VoomComix. Your story must be published and actively updating on your VoomComix Writer Dashboard. All you do here is register it for the contest so our editorial team knows which story you're putting forward. You must upload at least one new chapter every day throughout the contest window — consistency is part of what we judge.

Log in to your Writer Dashboard and begin or continue your Novel, Manga, or Comic. Make sure it is published (not in draft).

Keep Uploading Daily

During the contest window, you must upload at least one chapter per day. Stories with upload gaps will be reviewed with lower priority.

Who Can Enter?

Entry is completely free. Just check these conditions before registering.

Active VoomComix Writer (18+)

You must have an active writer account on VoomComix with at least one published story. Age 18 or above.

🗣️

Any Indian Language or English

Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali — any language works. Write in whatever feels natural to you.

Novel / Manga / Comic

All three formats are accepted. Enter with whichever genre and format your story belongs to.

At Least 80% Original Content

Your story must be predominantly your own creation. AI can only be used to fix grammar — not to write or rewrite the story.

The story being registered must exist only on VoomComix. If the same story is live on any other platform, it is not eligible.

Guidelines

Contest Rules

Read these carefully before registering your story.

At Least 80% Original Content

Your story must be a genuine human-written work. You may use AI tools only for grammar correction and spell-checking — not for generating plot, dialogue, descriptions, or any narrative content.

Full AI Story = Instant Rejection

Novel: Minimum 20 Chapters

Novel writers must have a minimum of 20 chapters published on VoomComix before the deadline to be eligible for judging.

Manga & Comic: Minimum 10 Chapters

Manga and Comic format entries must have at least 10 chapters published on VoomComix before the deadline.

One Story Per Writer

Each writer may only register one story for INK CROWN. Multiple registrations will result in all entries being disqualified.

Exclusive to VoomComix Only

The story you register must exist only on VoomComix. If the same story is published on Wattpad, AO3, or any other platform, it is ineligible. Same story on another platform = disqualification.

Daily Chapter Upload — Mandatory

During the contest window (May 1 – June 30), you must upload at least one chapter every single day. Missing days will negatively impact your evaluation. Consistency is a judging factor.

No Stealing Another Writer's Story

You can only register a story you wrote yourself. Registering someone else's story — even with their permission — is not allowed and will result in permanent disqualification from all future contests.

Story Theft = Permanent Ban

Zero Tolerance for Cheating

Any form of cheating — fake reads, inflated engagement, plagiarism, AI-written content, or manipulation — will result in immediate removal from the contest. No appeals will be entertained.

Judging Criteria

Originality 40% + Writing Quality 30% + Reader Appeal 30% = 100% of your final score. Every eligible entry receives equal attention from our editorial team.

Your actual writing happens on VoomComix — log in to your Writer Dashboard, write and publish chapters there as usual, and then come here to register that story for INK CROWN. Think of this form as just "entering your story into the competition."
Yes, completely free. There is no entry fee, no hidden charges, and no premium tier. VoomComix wants every talented writer — regardless of their financial situation — to have a fair shot at this. Just have an active story on the platform and register below.
Absolutely. Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali — any language is accepted. VoomComix celebrates India's linguistic diversity. Write in the language that comes most naturally to you — that is where your best writing will come from.
Only in a very limited way. You may use AI tools to fix grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors — that is it. Using AI to write plot, generate dialogue, create scenes, or produce any narrative content is strictly prohibited. Stories found to be substantially or fully AI-generated will be instantly rejected. We have screening processes in place. Your voice, your story.
Once your story is live on VoomComix and readers start viewing it, ad revenue begins to generate. Payments are made monthly. For contest winners, the enhanced revenue share (50%, 60%, or 70% depending on your placement) kicks in from the moment of onboarding after the results are announced on July 10. It is a lifetime arrangement — as long as your story remains live on VoomComix, the income continues.
No. The story you register for INK CROWN must be exclusive to VoomComix. If the same story exists on Wattpad, AO3, Instagram, or any other platform, it is not eligible. You would need to remove it from those platforms first — and we recommend giving it some time before registering, so we can verify exclusivity.
Only one story per writer. Choose your strongest work! Registering multiple stories will result in all entries being disqualified. Quality over quantity — one polished, consistently updated story will always make a stronger impression than multiple half-finished ones.
Winners will be officially announced on the VoomComix website (voomcomix.in) on July 10, 2026. A shortlist will also be published on July 7. All shortlisted writers will receive an email notification. Winning authors will be contacted directly by the VoomComix team for onboarding and prize coordination.
